One day I really wish to document a wedding in only black and white and possibly on Ilford : )
But meanwhile here are some other black and white images.
Daisy and Nikhil’s wedding venue, Shimla. February 2015.
And amidst the beautiful Shimla hills I met Kismet of The Unreal Bride
It was rather a beautiful surprise that the couple booked us both seperatly : ) And it was nothing but such a joy working with her. I hope to bump into her more often !
Also met Mehlum on his yet another trip to India. We went wandering about on the streets on Bombay and took these few pictures of him.
These pictures are taken by Nikon 50mm 1.2 which is a manual focus lens. And I am absolutely in love with it !
It was my second time shooting with Nikon and I might just be tipping towards it, just like Ram Balmur who recently switched his whole Canon equipment to Nikon. I think I will follow suit sometime : ) Though I still have to do my homework for it.
We met again at Banganga and here is the set of images he took of me on his Tumblr page.
I haven’t been posting much of wedding work here but I am behind editing 8 weddings and so many many more updates.
Next post will be a glimpse of the beautiful couples I got to meet.
Also I have been working on a brand ideology for “Serendipity” and also possibly a new look for the blog. But I am too attached to the current layout so you guys can help me make a decision.
Till then, love!
Nivedita and Sagar wanted to document this special phase in their life and I am so glad they thought of me ! Nivedita was going too have her Bengali Baby Shower “Shaad” and I have never got a chance to witness one so I thought of scheduling their Maternity shoot on the Shaad Day so I could see the ceremony and also take pictures!
Those who know me would know how much I am fond of the whole bengali culture and the Calcutta city in particular ! I was extremely excited for the Shaad ceremony and the Bengali food : )
Nivedita looked absolutely divine and the whole transformation from the dresses to the traditional Bengali saree made way to these beautiful images.
Her mum is a vision to behold ! I was so eager for her pictures after I had seen her at their wedding and didn’t leave a chance to take her pictures. I am guilty of sidelining the couple because Nivedita’s mum had all my attention !
You see the beauty runs in the family ! Nivedita with her sister Annindita !
I am excited for the baby due this month ! And excited more to schedule a photo-session with the baby in tow !
Excited to have another “Rosogulla” in the family ! : )
What better time to take some family pictures than the occasion of Father’s Day! Amrutha wanted some family pictures and we got lucky with beautiful weather over the weekend. I met them at the nearby park and her son Agastya is an absolute darling!
Very very well-mannered and caring ( he wanted to share everything he got with me : ) ), very smart (He knows when a meteor hits earth, it makes a crater ) So delighted to meet the family of my Japanese teacher after 8 long years !
Starting out with my favourite frame of the day.
Agastya with his Aai.
Agastya with his Baba.
Agastya with his Aji ( grand mum )
We went home to take more pictures and he introduced me to his Spiderman buddy!
I thank Amrutha and her family for this opportunity to take her family pictures. Wishing Agastya the very best !
I was excited to take pictures at Mayuri & Kiran’s wedding after I had shot their engagement. Mayuri was having a very different Haldi ceremony where she was going to get dressed appropriate for the day. And I was all excited!
Following are the pictures for Mayuri’s Haldi ceremony and the wedding day.
The Wedding Day
I wish the couple very best that the life has to offer!
Indigo Blue & Forest Green happen to be my favourite colours.
So one fine Sunday morning when the light was nice and bright The Husband and me dressed up blue and green and took some pictures.
This happens to be my favourite.
This is an oldie from our trip to Nainital and I thought I had lost it.
Hello from me : ) Taken by The husband. Though I don’t particularly like the red lipstick, I was in mood for some colour.
One other note, a lot of new pictures coming up on the blog. A lot many travels something in particular which I think you all will like.
And how’s the summer treating you all ?
Some more frames from Insiya’s shoot. This time it was just Insiya as Eoin back to The United States for his workshops.
The Husband came along this time and helped : ) I am a huge fan of collages these days and put the pictures together in the most simplest way.
I hope you all like these !
It is such a happy feeling when a client loves your work and asks if you can also take a couple of family pictures too.
That’s what Insiya asked me. Insiya, Eoin & Ananda live in British Columbia and its a rare chance for them to be with Insiya’s family in Mumbai.
And their son Ananda looked so handsome that I didn’t want to miss this opportunity : ) So I obliged !
Anand being his happy self. I love his name : )
Smiling with his daddy.
Ananda with all of his folks : )
Thank you Insiya, Sara Aunty (esp. for that awesome Granola. I am in love with you. ), Mansur Uncle, Eoin and Ananda for giving me this opportunity to take pictures of the family. I loved my time here : )
