One fine day I get a very sweet mail request from this boy for couple portraits. And we go back and forth on it but the schedules don’t match and a lot other things and it finally didn’t work out.
Fast forward to last month ( one year later ). I get another mail from the same boy asking if I would be available to document their wedding.
It is nothing but humbling when people world over connect to you because they like your work and keep coming back!
It is a wedding like no other because the couple is so effervescent and full of life and it was such an unusually beautiful wedding day for me.

Location : Lakme Salon, Andheri

This is the second court wedding that I have shot. And the spaces are quite interesting, edgy but make a beautiful backdrop.

The long wait at Bandra Court.

We then moved to Sun & Sand for celebratory lunch and wine!

Shohini, she is my favourite bridesmaid I have ever met!  She also did an impromptu performance by singing Ambarsariya for us and also got an applause from the people at the restaurant : )

And I can’t wait to shoot the part II of their wedding. And I am meeting none other than Kismet, woohoo!

On another note, two weddings amidst the hills and I am excited!

It was a beautiful ride back home from shoot and it had just showered in the city and the air was nice and cool. It was High tide at the sea and I could see the water splashing up on the road and the sea-link looked beautiful.

It was quite not possible to not take a picture. Following are the pictures from midnight ride back home.

Bandra-Worli Sea Link is officially called Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link that links Bandra (Western Suburbs) to Worli (South Mumbai).

A bit of more information can be read at Wikipedia.

I do plan to go out more this Monsoon and take pictures around the city. Bombay is quite enchanting during the Monsoons.

It’s April already and I can see summer posts on the blogs I follow and my pin-spiration too !

I can’t believe we have completed four months of 2014 already and I have so much of happenings in my life and so much to share with you all !

Firstly, an overhaul for this blog and lots of photo-projects coming up for you all to see : ) A bright new structure for the photo-business and lot other related things.

Secondly, a new addition to the photography kit is the ever-so-awesome Canon 6D and sweeeet 50mm 1.2

And thirdly, a recent shoot that I did…

I have been a Yoga fan almost all my life and had stopped practising for almost three years now. I wanted to start practising Yoga and the search for it guided me to THE YOGA HOUSE.

The Yoga HouseThe Yoga House has newly shifted to Nargis Villa.

Housing a yoga studio, a shop and a health food cafe, the concept of The Yoga House has been designed to share a system of living based on authenticity and awareness. I wanted to go there from a long time and I had the perfect opportunity when Insiya was hosting up a workshop there.

The Yoga details

Maud Chauffart is the brain behind this amazing concept and hosts  workshops too. Maud is a trained dancer and gymnast and was first introduced to Yoga in New York in 1998.

Leaving behind a successful business career in PR and Public Affairs, she moved to India to get closer to yoga in its traditional aspect. She opened a Yoga Studio in Mumbai and Bangalore – The Yoga House, where she teaches. Maud is also co-founder of YOGALAYA blog (www.yogalayablog.com), for practioners of yoga and those seeking a deeper understanding of the spiritual and philosophical roots that underpin the physical practice of yoga.

Maud at her best !

Located in a tranquil bungalow in Bandra West, The Yoga House is the ideal spot to unwind and detoxify in Bombay. It offers various classes of traditional styles of yoga conducted by a group of experienced qualified and dedicated teachers. I would highly recommend you all taking up regular workshops here to beat the summer heat and we might run into each other and chat over The Yoga House Cafe’s Pink Juice and other scrumptious delicacies.  🙂

Happy Summers !
